sounds like ur allergic to something.
hives are caused by many things ,something you eat ,nerves ,or something you touch that your body is allergic to .
I've been to the doctor's office and dermatologist several times for hives. They don't really know anything! Bottom line I need to see a specialist.and so do you by the sounds of it! But for instant releif the only thing that works is my prescription for ZERTEK! It get's rid of the worst hives!
nerves, allergies, cold, heat, touch are all factors.for some reason you have over active mast cells (the cells in you body that release histamines -- which cause the hives).see you doctor, who may refer you to an allergist for a good try at diagnosing..
in the mean time, you may try some benadryl(R) and that may help you
Allergic reactions, chemicals in foods, or medications can cause histamine release. Sometimes it's impossible to find out why hives are forming.
Acute Urticaria
Hives lasting less than six weeks are called "acute urticaria." With this type of hives, the cause can usually be found. The most common causes are foods, drugs, or infections. Insect bites and internal disease may also be responsible. Other causes can be pressure, cold, or sunlight.
Many infections can cause hives. Colds are a common cause of hives in children.
Hives can be caused by sunlight, heat, cold, pressure, vibration, or exercise.
Hives that form after firmly stroking or scratching the skin are called "dermatographism". It affects about 5 percent of the population.
You could be allergic to something you ate, or got on you.
You get hives because your skin is letting out histamines, and this causes the swelling spots. These can be caused for several reasons, but if you're just noticing it as of late, it is probably related to allergies, and your doctor can send you for a simple allergy test to help you identify the triggers. Another cause is stress. If you find yourself stressing, worrying, or being extremely uncomfortable for one reason or another, you can cause hives on different parts of your body, though you can have them all over from allergies too. If it's a plant allergy, you may never find out what it is, but if it's tree or grass, an allergy test should be able to help you find it out easily. Point to note, don't scratch. It will only make them swell more, and can actually cause the reaction to spread to surrounding skin. I actually had hives for weeks, and the doctor found out I was causing it myself by scratching dry skin after it got wet, because it irritated the dry skin, though very few people get this I am told, and now I know not to scratch. :) I have very adnormally dry skin, and even putting moisturizers on it daily doesn't help, so the swelling of the skin when water hits it sometimes causes itching, or pain, and makes you want to scratch.
Your body id being exposed to something it does not like;causing histamines to release which causes raised areas known as hives.
ohh.could be many different reasons, but here are some.
food alergies
enviorment conditions (pets, smoking,detergents, parfumes)
pressure
medications

one of the toughest problems to figure out. if its a food allergy, that will be your easiest.
