i had back surgery 1 mo. ago now my legs are swelling from knee down what is this??
Question:
Answers:
It could be inflammation (that's what happened to my Mother after she had back surgery). I'm not trying to scare you, but anytime you've had surgery or have been laid up in bed because of surgery or health problems, there is a serious risk of blood clots. I know (I've been there). I'm there now with my fourth. The doc says this is a partial clot left from last year. If your leg keeps swelling and gets painful or turning blue, veins popping out, anything, get it checked out immediately! This is serious.
Other Answers:
you might want to go to your Dr my mom had back surgery and that never did happen
Might be a blood clot. See your doctor as soon as possible.
I think this is worth a phone call to your doctor. I don't want to terrify you but a friend of ours died 6 months after back surgery from a blood clot leg swelled he died said it was complication from surgery. Have it checked out.
it is called Edema. Keep your legs elevated as much as possible, if this doesn't work seek Medical attention. ...may be sign of bacterial infection.
