Has anyone ever seen a pill like this? Amoxicillin- yellow/burgundy capsule with RX655 wrote on it?

Question: I have got a capsule that is burgundy and yellow, has RX655 wrote on it. I have searched it on the net and found out that it is Amoxicillin. But my question is, is it for humans or animals? I keep coming up with sites that sale pet perscriptions. I don't have any pets so I am trying to figure out what it is exactly. Or do people and pets often take the same medications? I don't know!.lol.I guess that is why I am asking you all! Thanks!

It is Amoxicillin, so your findings were right, and it is taken by humans for infections. Mine were usually for my lung infections, or sinus infections, and even once for a throat infection. If it wasn't prescribed for you, it is best to see a doctor before taking any prescription medicine. And only one pill won't help you, amoxicillin is meant to be taken over ten days. Your best bet is to throw it out, as they also have a shelf life.

It is for humans and it is an antibiotic for the treatment of sinus infections and such. It is a form of pennicillin.

You are right it is amoxicillin. Used for infections in the sinus ears throat etc. It is the human kind. Some medications such keflex a antibiotic both humans and animals use the same kind. Liquid tagament for infants is used for cats w/ bad stomach. Peto Bismo is used on dogs w/ bad stomach. Baby aspirin is used on dogs for pain. I know all of this is factual. I have been going to the same vet for 20 years. He has never steered me wrong. Please don't take only one antibiotic you need a full course to wipe out any infection. Make sure you finish all of them. P.S. You can get pregnant w/ some antibodies they lessen the effectiveness of the pill.
