Why do wounds heal faster when they are bandaged?

no- the air is what helps them heal. Cover it until a scab forms to protect it then let the air at it.

Depending on the nature of the bandage, they actually slow healing. However, many wounds cannot be left open at risk of damaging them further from physical trauma.
depends on the wound...how deep is the wound? ask a pharmacist if ur not sure, or the dr. (of course)
