Am I gross?

Question:

Okay. I used to wet the bed. I stopped when I was around ten. My mother took me to have my bladder checked and they put me on medication. The doctors said my bladder was weak/small, I can't remember. My bladder is still kind of weak, and I always have to pee more than most people. Sometimes I have to pee VERY frequently. And its worse at night.

So I keep a big cup that I use for peeing when I know I will be hitting the bathroom a couple times an hour. Am I gross, or is this just a compromise? It started when my mother would get agitated about me walking up an down the sqeaky stairs at night to use the bathroom. I would wake her up everytime. Now, when I am up late, I don't want to distrub my roomates by going to the bathroom over and over during the night.

Sometimes I am just embarassed by how many times I have to pee, so I use the cup. And I'm afraid that if my bladder is not completly empty before I fall asleep, I will wet the bed.

No that's not gross.. But if you drink Mountain Dew ... DO NOT keep it by your pee cup.. THAT would be gross..LOL

Have you been checked for diabetes? The cup is no grosser than a chamber pot which is what people used to use when they didn't want to go to the out-house in the wintry cold. Just make sure to wash it out real good with bleach or something antiseptic in the morning.

I think it's gross! Do your roomates kno u keep a cup in the room to pee in??!?? Gross!! I have no other solution, but i mean, peein in your room....in a cup...more than once a nite?!!?? Unhygienic. They have medicine for over active bladder's.....go to a doctor and tell me that your urinate more than normal

back in the day people used to pee in a pot and for that matter most of the time they kept it by the bed i forget what they are called but they have pretty neat little potties for toddlers which would probably be less gross and u can stach it under the bed and dump it in the morning but i would see a doctor as well maybe they can help

if you are no longer on meds, you should get back on. there are several options for prescription drugs these days. peeing in a cup is not sanitary, if an adult diaper is not enough, you should see your doc again.

u might think this is weird but in my culture, the old people used and still encourage the young kids to eat the liver of the crab( the grey stuff inside the crab)..........it's suppose to stop you from wetting the bed...........I fed it to my daughter and she has never wet the bed since........and when my mom was younger she used to wet the bed and they fed it to her and she quit..........so it's something to think about..........

not gross. go to the health department or free clinic to be checked out. Also a cup can spill go to a store like walmart or whatever and get a urinal. has a lid and handle like the ones in hospitals. and it has a measurement on it so you can even tell a doc or someone how much your actually going.
