will a 1 month old cerebral contusion show up on a ct scan or MRI?

Question:

Answers:
It's gonna depend on the severity. A slight head injury will heal like any other; no inner or outer signs of trauma, but a more sever injury will be apparent. Swelling, blood pooling in the tissues, areas of decreased electrical activity, etc. would all be apparent if the healing process was not complete.

Other Answers:
Yes, it should.
Yes.
A fresh one (within 24 hours.) will show up better on a CatScan or C/T, while an older one will show up on an MRI with DWI-weighted Imaging.
yes you should come up.
it depends on how severe the contusion is-my guess is no

a contusion is basically a bruise on the brain-these usually heal w/out any lasting effects.

things that will normally stay and show up later on imaging films are old bleeds in the brain and strokes-things that cause death to the brain tissue b/c the brain cannot generate new tissue to replace the dead area.
