If they are allergic it can be bad. Did you call his Dr.?
I watched a news program and some fire ants and their bites can be deadly. I would call your doctor to be safe. these ant are aggresive
If it is just a few, it would mostly be just irritation. If it is a lot, you may want to take the child to se a doctor.
Pain, lots of pain, even if it's only one bite!
its not harmfl at all.....its just very painful....plus too many bites can kll...i suggest u get him under cool water right away....
It depends on how badly the fire ants munched this three year old. If there are a lot of bites then I would go to the doctor. Some people are alergic to them ane they can have a reaction from just one bite, but your three year old probably would have swelled up by now. Check the bites often, if they are blistering or getting much bigger, go to the doc. In the mean time oral benadrly and a topical cortizone cream should help with the discomfort.
With even a few bites there is the risk of an allergic reaction. This could then result in anaphalactic shock which can kill.
But relax!!! That is highly unlikely. Just do what you can to protect your baby sensibly.
Babies are more at risk from panicky worried mothers than they are from almost anything else. Please learn to relax and enjoy growing up together!!!
