Do bone fracture pains ever go away? I had thigh fracture 4 yrs ago & still have pains till today.?
Question:
Answers:
okay...a few questions to clarify.
1) is it seasonal, like when the seaons change you get an ache in your thigh?
If yes it's totally normal and it will stay like that.
2) after the cast or zimmer frame was removed did you have an xray to determain if it had healed?
If not have one and make sure that the bone has head properly. If yes, ask for a review and an xray or MRI or Ct to check more throughly.
3) What kind of pain? This is important because it can be a determaining factor of what is going on.. One can safely assume that it has healed but the real question is, has it healed properly?
See you doctor have some xrays or MRI or CT and see what comes up because 4 years post fracture the only pain you should expect is seasonal.
Furthermore, the type of fracture is important spiral fractures are the hardest to heal and can have the most problems where as "green stick" and hairline can be easily managed.
I hope this helped Good luck to you.

For some people NO. If you are a little older most likely never. I have heard of people who break their hip and still have pain 20 years later. With that though, peopl break legs and such and are just fine 2 months down the line. Is it true pain or like a sensitivity to cold and such?
There are different ways to treat bone fracture pain, have you seen a doctor recently and talked to them about it?
I'll tell you...you can have pain for a long time. I was in a major car accident and pulled all of the tendons on my arms and really hurt my wrirsts. I saw the accident coming and must have held on with all of my strength. One of my wrists was AMOST broken, and I can tell you..I had major pain for almost a year.
sometimes they do.in my case i was in a bad car wreck years ago and fractured my pelvic bone,sacrum/tailbone,cracked a cpl ribs, and bruised my heart as well, every now and then i still get back spasims, ribs crack like it feels as if it went out of place if i turn a wrong way,and have pain sometimes sitting.depends on the severity of your fracture i suppose. you could ask your doctor what he culd recomend for you, good luck and hope u feel better soon, i feel 4 u..........
Pains should be gone by now...that is, if it was put in a cast or a sling.
