Bladder muscles atrophy, which means they get kind of lazy and stretched out. Once the elasticity is gone, they loose control. It doesn't happen to everyone but one way to avoid that problem in the future, is to exercise now. Kagel exercises are the best for that. I think I spelled it right. Oh well.
