How to stop your husband from snoring may not be the best question in this case. You may want to consult doctor if he is suffering the Sleep Apnea.
There is a reason why your husband is snoring. Also, if he is suffering Sleep Apnea, he is likely to have some other health issues such as high blood pressure and other cardiovascular disease, memory problems, weight gain, impotency, and headaches.
Once he is diagnosed, there are means, such as CPAP machine (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure), to help him.
Please check below link for further information on Sleep Apena. (I'd rather like to have you read more formal explanation than mine so that you can make your own judgement)

This CPAP machine or sometimes BiPAP (Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure) machine is a very small mechanical ventilator designed to help the patient with Sleep Apena.
Unfortunately, public is not aware this serious Sleep Apnea as you find answers from others..

make him lose weight. worked for mine, he was at least 30 pounds overweight and he lost the weight and quit smoking and now he snores ALOT less
nudge him when he snores. It may wake him up, but it usually works. Buy those bandade strips to open his nostrils!
Suffocate him with the pillow :)
He needs to sleep on his side.
Make him sleep in another room!
☺
Brrath right strips help
they now have a laser surgery you can get for many types of snoring, check into it with your doctor. Make him sleep on his side. My wife snores and I have to make her sleep on her side.
tell him to sleep on the couch
For the immediate solution, go buy those nose strips and ask him to sleep slightly upright. For the long term solution, help him lose weight.
This worked for me like a miracle, and I was the one who was snoring: I trained myself to sleep on my left side, and I went out and bought Breathe Rights Strips! Honest to God, I have seen no better invention in the past few years than those things!! It takes work to learn to sleep a different way, but it'll be worth it for your relationship, I swear!! BREATHE RIGHT STRIPS--THEY'RE THE BEST!! i make mine roll over. he snores much worse when he's on his back.
those snoring things that you put on your nose work alright. you can get them at any drug store.
they're so cute when they snore hehehe
oh. I desperately need the answer to this as well! We are not even married yet and the thought of the rest of my life with terrible sleep is scary!! Got a pillow..grab and apply ! Just kiddin. Take dude to the doctor or make him sleep in the garage.
I wish I knew!! Mine is awful too! He is not overweight, has been to the doctor, had a sleep study and nothing they have suggested works!
My only hope is to fall asleep first and hope he doesn't wake me up!
I have tried to elbow him, hold his nose shut and everything else.
They roll over but it just starts again.
He may have sleep apnea a very serious condition. Snoring is a sign of it. Send him to a sleep clinic for evaluation. If your husband has allergies, or is exhausted or sleeping on his back. Ask him to roll onto his side. They also have these nasal strips that you put acroos the bridge of your nose that open the air passages so that you can breathe better. They work like a charm.
If he is overweight, encourage him to slim down.
Alternatively, there are a multitude of nasal strips and sprays he can use to help open his sinuses etc to aid his breathing.
Mostly, people snore due to excess weight around the throat, or the fact that the tongue falls back blocking them from breathing properly. Encourage him to sleep on his side, or get him a pillow to help support his head and neck properly.
Also, you could buy ear plugs to block out the noise.
If all else fails, take him to the doctor to see if it's not something that needs looking into!
My husband used to snore and he went to see his doctor about it. They sent him to the sleep clinic where he found out he has sleep apnea. (The same thing that Reggie White died from). He says he felt like and idiot because he had to watch this little show and everybody in the show was super old. He asked the doctor about it and he said that is because most people wait so long to have it checked.
Now he has a Cpap machine that blows air into him while he sleeps..(sounds bad but it isn't) he doesn't snore, he sleeps through the night, has more energy and is just overall a happier person! I HIGHLY recommend that if you snore you at least talk to your doctor about it. There could be something medically wrong.
Best of Luck! The couch almost always works.
