how do u get strep throat?
Question:
Answers:
Strep throat is usually caused by a bacterial infection. Streptococcus pyogenes. These bacteria live in your throat and on your body. Normally your immune system does are fairly decent job of keeping this bacteria level down. However if you are exposed to a larger than normal amount and/or your immune system is stressed due to a cold or other factor the bacteria can overwhelm your immune system and you can become sick.
The signs and symptoms of strep throat are red, sore throat with white or yellow patches on tonsils, swollen lymph nodes in the neck, fever over 101 Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius), headache, extreme shaking/shivering, and cold sweats. Many people also have difficulty swallowing.
If you feel you have strep throat it would be wise to visit your physician or local hospital to have a throat culture taken to determine if you do have an infection.
Treatment consists of antibiotic treatment for 10 days or a single injection of penicillin.
I hope you feel better soon
Strepping, you know when you take all your clothes off and people throw their dollar bills at you....OH!!!! You meant that thing you get when your throat is really sore and you get a fever. Sorry, I'm not sure. It's just some kind of bacteria that you have to get antibiotics to treat it.
