I was told that 2% of people can become addicted to weed true or false??

Question:

Answers:
I was just reading about a recent study on the subject. First off weed IS addictive. Not like you'll go through serious withdrawl if you stop using it and smoking it once isn't going to give you cravings for the rest of your life. Weed can develop into an addiction if you use it frequently over a long period of time (it can also dull your senses and cause you to gain weight). It is mostly a psychological addiction, not a physical dependency.
The most notable thing in this study was the fact that people who started regularly smoking pot at an early age were likely to become heavy pot smokers as apposed to people who started regularly smoking cigarettes at an early age. People who started smoking cigarettes at an early age were more likely to start using heavier drugs and become addicted to them. Just a little food for thought (munchies?).
Oh and I've known several friends who got in trouble once with the law and got put on probation for it, then continually violated probation because they just couldn't stop smoking pot. Kind of sad actually, but if you smoke regularly then quitting smoking can cause a serious decrease in your appitite.
If you're curious I'll email you the powerpoint presentation.
