what happens if...?

you take 4 tylenols instead of two (the recommended dose) in the time of 1 hour... because my headache came back and i want to take two more.

4 tylenols in one hour will be ok. No more though for a while - like 6 hours.

If that does not kick the pain (and it truly should), eat some protein (like tuna or salmon or chicken, or if vegetarian, soy), like about 2-3 ounces of it (1/2 can of tuna) and stay away from the sugary stuff (all of it) for about 3 hours (no caffeine either).

If your headache is due to time of month or other possible hormonal imbalance, the protein will help level it out after a while.

4 tylenol would probably not be too bad. But be careful. Taking too much of anything can be dangerous. Haven't you seen those recent tylenol ads?

Nothing happens

Tylenol isn't good for your stomach so you may have stomach pains if you didn't eat anything.
Other than that I really don't know try calling a nurse hot line if you can to find out!

well actually the adult dose of Tylenol is 1000mg, so that would be 3 tabs(closest dosing). We use extra-strength(500mg) 2tabs routinely in the hospital. Avoid using 4 tabs and take it no more than every 4-6 hours. Check with your doctor as he/she knows your medical history. Follow your physicians recommended dosing. Tylenol can be dangerous in people who have liver or kidney disease as well as pregnant women, for example.
