help! jammed finger?

Question:
i jammed it twice today at basketball,, and it hurts like a mother trucker! i've jammed my fingers tons of times before and have pulled them out and they were fine. but i cant get this one and neither can my dad (a coach) i can bend the bottom and top knuckles but can't move the middle one at all, that knuckle is twice the size it was, and bruised in the "palm" side. i have bball & volleyball tomorrw and would like to play both, i iced it for 2 1/2 hours and its still big. help!!

Answers:
for me the best thing that works is buddy tape it to the finger next to it. keep ice on it and keep it elevated. also ibuprofen helps with the pain and swelling

Other Answers:
If you both can't get it unjammed..I'd advise to go to the ER. Believe me, I've been there...soccer goalie for 10 years. The last thing you want is ligamental damage or nerve damage. Your fingers are very important!! :-)
Good luck.
You should go see your doctor and ask him or her why your finger is like that.
you need to go to the emergency room and you need an xray to make sure there are not any fractures (breaks) they can give you a sedative and set your finger
i dont advise playing games for a while
must be a little more than a jam.....continue ice and take an anti-inflammatory (like Motrin) pill, if your not better soon go to the doc first thing in the morning
. . .Sounds like you broke it this time. You are doing good. Keep ice on it and go see your doctor first thing tomorrow morning! If he can't see you, go to the ER. How does your fingertip look? is it blue or pink. If it is not pink this means that circulation to that finger is impaired (an emergency). If this is the case, you need to go to the ER now!
well since you keep injuring your finger you keep doing more damage to ur ligaments tendons and muscles in your fingers so each time its goign to get worse. if i was u go to the ER! hun i knwo what u r going through because i have been there and done that!!! i hope you get better!!!!!!
