I wouldn't recommend it. Aspirin is dangerous enough without having to worry about the repercussions of taking an expired pill. One key danger could lie in the non-effectiveness of the outer coating. Heck, it could lodge itself in your stomach or small intestine and give you an ulcer. I suggest investing in some new Advil or Aleve.

An normal pain reliever probably wouldn't hurt you if it's recent expiration, I've taken lightly expired Alive and stuff, but their affect is probably diminished. (Just the affect, do not take more then recommended to make it stronger!) Probably just makes better sense to buy a new bottle.

You really don't want to take the risk especially with over the counter pain meds.. After a certain period of time the active and inactive ingredients in the advil change and actually become a posionous substance. learned this in 6 yrs of chemistry. Throw out expired meds and buy fresh, you just don't want to take the chance hun.
The date on all medications is a use by date, after that they begin to degrade and lose their effectiveness. If you have a bottle of advil that is a few weeks past the experation, its probably safe to use them and will more than likely give you the same results, but the older they are, the more likely it is that they will not work for what you want to take them for.
