What can you tell me about PRK (lasik)? I am told I am not eligible for new lasik, that I have to undergo prk

Question:

Answers:
PRK is photo refractive keratectomy. With LASIK they create a corneal flap prior to doing the laser treatment. With PRK all the laser treatment is done on the surface of the cornea. With PRK there is more pain/discomfort (about the first 3 days). You'll experience some tearing/burning (like when you cut onions).

( I work @ a LASIK center, that's how I know so much about this)
prk involves taking part of the cornea & is to correct vision problems like myopia
