What causes morning breath?

Question:

Answers:
Bacteria in the mouth cause morning breath. The bad breath is caused by the excrement of these bacteria and the bacteria themselves. Normally, we have tons of bacteria in our mouth. However, we usually have more saliva in our mouth to clean all the bacteria. While sleeping, there is almost no saliva released from your salivary glands. This allows the bacteria to grow, because the saliva doesn't clean them out as much.

Other Answers:
During sleep, you may sleep with your mouth open or closed. No matter if it's closed or open, bacteria can get inside your mouth and build up. After about four hours or more, it really starts to smell.
