I have an unusual question, sorry?
Question:
Answers:
I know someone who had this done as a ten year old and it can be very painful.. I wouldnt recommend it unless its a medical thing and in that case he would be entitled to nhs surgery..
Other Answers:
i don't know but next time just do it at birth so its not a problem later.
why are you cutting him?
my sons was born in 99 and in america but it cost $125.00 when he was 3 days old, dont know if that helps and i think obgyn do it
yes it costs around £150- 200 I live in london as well in the east, if you type in circumsision (if I spelt that right) clinic in london and goole it you will definatly find some, there is one in east ham. they do not provide this on the NHS anymore
my little brother had it done when he was three, though his was for medcal reasons. he had it done at St peters hospital in chertsey. the only other way i can think of is to contacts a jewish priest (Im not sure what they called) and ask about having ur son circumcised
you live in UK so why does he need circumcised? For non medical reasons you are being cruel and selfish to your son. The foreskin is natures glove and protects his delicate organ from irritation. Leave him alone. Or ill phone the social workers...........
consulting ur family doctor could be a good option......
Well if the doc said he needs it doing they will put you in touch with a surgeon.
well....uhhh is there a hospital near okford?
You need a Moil!
Circumcission is a very good thing you should have done it at birth itself but its not too late as yet..go to any renowned hospital or better still your family dr they will definitely guide you.
If it has to be done for medical reasons Im sure you will be able to find a doctor, but if its not medically necessary, dont get him circumcised. My sons cost $200. I only did it because his daddy wanted it done.
you should be able to go to a hospital and have it done... my ex boyfriend when i was with him he was 20 and he had it done.
I can't help you, but I would disagree with the former answerer. Unless there is a medical need (as there now is in your son's case), getting this procedure done for a child is cosmetic. let them make their own mind up. 99%+ of the population do not have a problem, and the whole "hygiene" argument is rubbish.
i am answerin this question on ma mums behalf, she says that ya shudn't get it done coz the child will be in agony for starters also i have a 20 year old brother n ma mum neva got him circumstised n he hasn't had any problems, i also think ya shudn't make him have this done either my boyfriend hasn't n he's fine
First, why does the doctor now say your son 'needs' to be circumcised.. is it because of poor hygiene? Teach him how to clean himself them, properly.
I have heard of men having that done when they're adults.. but I would imagine for a little boy like your son, he may find the need to scratch there while it's healing.
Get a second and third opinion for other doctors.
Price.. I have no idea.
His dad said no? Your son, too. If you think he needs circumcision, your decision has as much weight if not more--being the mom (or mum, as you folks say it).
They don't really have to have it done its not unhelthey or anything I can't help you find a doctor im sorry
Will you believe another mother's opinion on this issue ?

Well if it's for health reasons they'll do it on the nhs.
There is no medical reason for circumcision. I think that you are just still trying to get your own way and have contrived this situation so that you can get around your husbands obvious lack of consent.
Stop thinking of what you want you stupid woman, this proceedure is painful for an older child. Leave him alone until he can make his own decision.
And your correct, at the age of your son there isn't a doctor in the civilised world that will do it because it is an unneccesary proceedure. Not even going private.
You say that you have been told that he may "need" to be circumcised.
Is this a medical need? If so, there will be no problem in finding a doctor.
If you mean that some other person or persons "require" him to be circumcised, you should give the matter, and this person or persons, some thought.
my son could not be circumcised for medical reasons at birth. so we had it done by a urologist when he was 18 months old. it is a horrible thing to go through as parents.
i would not have had it done, if he didn't have to. he had scar tissue and it wouldn't allow the foreskin to go back. there was another issue but i forget what they called it, something like chordee? anyway he healed up just fine, and apparently it looks normal.
go to Synagogue, they will help u
Dear, medically and personally, you should circumsize your baby at this age and any surgent doctor can do that.It is so easy minor operation.Donot worry. It is simple and very benificial for every male baby
If its gotta be done, get a urologist to do it. Otherwise, leave the boy alone, he'll like it no matter what you do to it! LOL
GET IT DONE AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE! I have known a few men that have not and deeply regretted it upon becoming an adult. Young children do not understand how important it is to thoroughly clean under the extra skin. Causing many different bacterias and particles to become trapped and create irritation of infections that can effect them for life.
you awll awver there, how you awll doin? I love Monty Python...
Can't find a doctor to do it?? That's ridiculous, its a simple routine procedure. Here in the US, its done all the time. Go find another doctor.
You need to find a local urologist in pediatrics. I had my son last month and got the bill $350.00 my mouth fell open at the bill. Most insurance health plans do not cover that expense. Perhaps yours will d/t it being medically necessary. I don't know about London, England but in the states you can get it done all the time.
