Have any of you had the chickenpox as adults?

Question:

I never had chickenpox as a child. I just recently had them three weeks ago. It was ridiculously horrible. What I was wondering, though, is if the scars and pock marks will last forever. I know people who still have craters from having chicken pox as a child. I never really picked at mine too bad but I have all of these little scars and some crater like indents from them on my cheeks, forehead and hands. Has anyone else experienced this as an adult and did the scars stay forever. God I hope not.

My advice.. Go see a dermatologist as soon as possible. Perhaps they can reduce the scarring and the damage that is done before it does become permanent....
They have amazing creams, lasers, and other treatments..

I got them when I was 22. Mom told me to put Vitamin E on my bumps after I washed. I have no scars or craters. Well, I have one in my mouth, but no one can see it.

yes i had them at about the age of 40 and allot of the dimples are still there. exspecialy on my nose, but the white coloration disappeared after awhile, and i feel for you that was the sickest i think i had ever been.

my brother had it when he was25!
I agree it was really a tough tym for him
