Should one continue jogging with mild fever?
Question:
Answers:
You should not jog if you do not feel well. There are some viruses that feel no worse than a touch of flu, but as well as inflaming your sinuses or giving you a sniffle, they also infect the heart. You're not going to notice it in normal activity, but if you put your body under stress, the results could be very damaging or even fatal. If you have a fever, you should not go jogging until you feel better.
no call your gp
it is harmful it can affect heart muscles just rest awhile
I would think when you feel like you need rest because you are ill. Maybe taking a break the day you have a mild fever will allow you to feel better the next day to run farther or longer.

The answer is a definite NO.
No. Please discontinue immediately. During fever, what u require is rest and food. They say, feed the fever. No exercises please.
i think that you probably need to rest if you have fever. Chances are the fever will be down in a couple of days and you can get back on track with your routine. however if you continue jogging now, you may make yourself feel worse, and it might prolong the exercising thing for a longer period of time.. take care of yourself, get better, then you can run the 5k :)
Just take rest and do jogging after getting well. Ok happy diwali and happy new year and get well soon
I'm not a doctor, but from personal experience I can say that I feel better getting out and doing some exercise when I'm sick instead of lying down in a stuffy room for the whole day letting things fester. It seems to clear things out. Maybe don't jog, just go for a good walk.
Obviously, if your temp. is up though you are not well and need to see the doc : )
A fever is your body's reaction to a virus. It is basicaly trying to killing it by increasing your core temperature. An increased temperature can accelerate your body's use of fluids, which is why your doctor tells you to drink a lot when you have a fever because it aids this process and reduces the chance your fever may escalate uncontrolled.
When you jog, your sweat glands are pulling essential fluid from your other bodily functions to cool yourself.
If you jog with a fever you will accelerate loss of fluid and rapidly increase your core temperature and thus increase your chances of heat exhaustion or heat stroke which can be especially dangerous with a virus in your system.
A heat stroke would increase the chances of your virus spreading because of reduced immune system efficiency.
Walking however is fine, but increase your electrolyte fluid intake to prevent dehydration.
no becuase if you continue then you can get more fever or other diseases too.
no fever means your body want rest to recoup so give it some time to relax and rejunvate
I think that jogging is a necessary exercise but people having mild fever should minimise it and not stop it.
cheers for your high spirits. Avoid Jogging on the road, park etc.
just do spot jogging in your room and do not exert your self. this shall make you feel good and you shall come out of Home sickness which may be the reason to make you feel bad.
Avoid jogging for such period when feverish.jogging will not do any good to your health enhancement when fever is there.
