I'm in nursing school and I can't find good directions on how to tb testing(ppd) in my book..any good links? Thanks!

Take 0.1 ml. fluid in a 1cc syringe.Swab the forearm. Keep the needle parallel to the forearm and insert it intradermally. Draw the piston back slightly and insert the fluid. around the area with a pen. Read the test after 48 to 72 hours. Observe for redness and induration. Measure the induration transverse to the long axis of the forearm. I hope this makes it clear. <5mm-negative. 5to 9mm.-doubtful. 10 to 19mm.-1+ 21to 29mm.-3+ More than that or with ulceration and necrosis-4+
