It's 2:06 in the freaking morning, and I can't sleep. Got any ideas how I can?

Question:
Yeah, it's 2 in the morning. I can't sleep, my back hurts, and I'm waking up at 6 am to get ready for an 8-9 hour shift at work, starting at 8 am (I haven't woken up this early in a month, so I need extra time to get my brain functioning). Besides a bang on the head with a rubber hammer, does anyone have ideas for helping me to fall asleep? Thanks!

Answers:
benadryl or tylenol pm works great.

i work night shift in trauma icu from 7p-7a three-four nights a week and sometimes when i get home in the morning i can't sleep either.

since your back hurts-i would use the tylenol pm. it's non-habit forming and will help you sleep too. you also won't wake up with that groggy, "hungover" feeling. benadryl also works great and is also non-habit forming.

if you are against medications-try a nice hot shower and a warm glass of milk-that always makes me sleepy.

but getting off of the computer is a good idea b/c staring at the screen for an extended period of time isn't good and being tired makes it worse. : )

Other Answers:
Go read a dictionary or read something online. Read stuff on wikipedia. Wikipedia has some pretty cool stuff, time will pass pretty soon and you'll get tired quick. Try that.

Take a sleeping pill or an advil or tylenol PM..or Benadryl.it helps you sleep also. It's best to get off the computer because it just stimulates the brain adn will keep you up longer. Phone in sick!

Put yourself first!

FIRST, DIM ALL LIGHTS!
TURN OFFF TV
TURN OFF COMPUTER
UNPLUG PHONES,
LISTEN TO RELAXING MUSIC AND READ call me over I'll make ya sleepy from being fully satisfied..yeah ya know what I mean
