Although the rush from Amy nitrate is quite exhilarating ,yes like most enjoyable things it is bad for you and probably a lot worse than most other intoxicants.It can cause heart attacks /strokes and brain damage(the brain damage you can feel via the splitting headache the following day). poppers are horrible, they give you a realy sore head and make you dizzy not fun at all, i prefer to be in control.

Poppers, as far as i no are addictive physically or psychologically but they are not risk free
poppers dilate the blood vessels and allow more blood to get to the heart so if you have any heart problems (or chest probles) you should stay clear of them unless the doctor says. If you have low blood pressure steer clear as well, Its not good to swallow them as they r toxic and could kill you and i think they will burn if they come into contact with skin. they are also flammable.
It is not illegal to have them and they can be bort at festivals and in some shops. i think some clubs sell them as well.
