Is having a 10 pack a day habit bad for you?

Question:
I have a 10 pack a day chewing gum habit, and I was just wondering if it will do anything to my mouth. Will my jaw fall apart, or my teeth fall out? I can't seem to stop this habit. I tried cold turkey, but I eventually end up buying a pack, thinking just one pack only. Then after awhile it leads up to more and more packs a day. I'm wondering if I should search for a gum rehab center.

Answers:
you sound like you might have OCD or mania. see your doctor soon! then again, see your dentist too!

Yes, Definitely it worse habit
depends on the gum if it has lots of sugar contents.. u might lose ur teeth? err.... otherwise i guess its a good exercise for the jaw? you can be like HEY.. TOUCH MY JAW.. and people will be like..*gasp* whow.. u have muscular jaw man! wahaha just me.. :D
i think you should really stop..its really bad for your teeth and your health..try cutting down to a couple of packs a day....then after a while..try cutting down even more...until you completely get rid of the habit..
Good luck!
Wait until you are older and art gets into you jaw and your teeth fall out because there is no bone to support them.. Make sure that when you die from being a gumoholic they put several 10 packs of gum in your coffin to keep you going.... BAD BAD HABIT, the only thing I can equate to this is thumb sucking...
HAVE A GOOD DAY!!!!!!!
you need to check with your dentist. All tho they make Vitamins in a gum form now. If it's sugar free gum there shouldn't be a problem but if it's Sugar filled you are setting yourself up for major Dental problem's Down the road. As Far as a Gum Rehab I don't know,. never been addicted to Gum, But I Would think that it would be just like any other addiction you just have to lay it down and be stronger than it is.
Not a good idea at all. First talk to your (a) dentist and, even take it from there.
If you had been drinking a ten pack of beer a day, at least, there would have been a rehab program and AA. Hum, maybe that's the way around this! No. No. No. just kidding.
Just buy the sugar-free kind and you might want to buy some stock in the Wrigley Co.
LOL. It depends on two variables:
Sugarless chewing gum: The stuff that makes it "sugarless" is thought to cause cancer, this could be a problem for you.
Regular chewing gum: Too much sugar might be bad for your teeth

Youll sure get a strong jaw though.
