I am a BSN RN in the Tulsa area working on my Masters in Nursing Education. Nursing is a very rewarding career with many options. What you make depends on many factors including Experience, area of practice, shift, location and level of education. Certainly a Masters Prepared RN is going to have a higher income than an associate degreed RN. If you are thinking about nursing as a career then I support you 100%, however please don't go into it for the money do it because you have a genuine desire to help others. Nursing is a rewarding but intense job. Long hours and usually not so good pay to start! I live in Tulsa,OK and the average starting pay at the local hospitals is around 16/hr.
