Gall Bladder Stones!?
Question:
Answers:
I just had my gb removed last Friday, laproscopically. I was only under for about 30-45 minutes. When I woke up my belly button hurt (they make one of the incisions there) but the others don't at all. They are all so small.
I still am sore and bruised (I bruise really easy) but I went to work today (I'm a graphic designer so pretty much a desk job but at a high-energy place!) I went under at 10am and was home by 2pm and felt fine, even cleaned the house a little (and I am a BABY!) I relaxed over the weekend and Monday and Tuesday, prepared to go back to work on Wednesday and was still a little too sore to sit still for 8 hours. But I went in today and felt great! I have had no digestive problems at all except a little constipation from the anasthesia and pain killers, but I ate out at lunch, no pain or problems like diarreah. I'm not as hungry as I used to be, but that's not a bad thing! I've still had 3 meals today.
The cost before insurance was somewhere between 9K-12K, and is covered by insurance if deemed medically necessary.
Some tips for recovery, hold a pillow on your stomach when you sit up or stand up, cough or sneeze or laugh. Roll out of bed instead of pull yourself out. That has been a huge help!
Good luck! It really is night and day difference for me. I know it will help you too!

Well if if you just have stones and it is not too serious, it is done laproscopicaly with 3-4 inscions, out pt go in in the morning out that afternoon (sometime in just a matter of hours) Mine was done in a surgical center not even a hosptial. You are really sore for about a week and i think you are off for like 4-6 weeks i am not sure what it cost my insurance covered it and it was like 5 years ago
as long as they can do the laser it goes about an hour to two hours for surgery. recovery is about 2 weeks depending on what you do to make a living. 4 little incisions that are taped. i can not remember the price my insurance covered all but 200 dollars.
I had gall stones and i had surgery to remove my gallbladder last year. My surgery cost $20,000 and $1,500 just to put me to sleep. Its expensive! Durng the surgery they cut you on your bellybutton, below your breast bone and 2 more times on your right side of your tummy. there little cuts. nothing major, but they do leave scars. they then insert a laprascope or something like that and remove your gallbladder. if your doc cant get to your gallbladder using that method then they have to make a long cut and remove it.Recovery time for me was maybe 3 weeks. The day after you are sooooooooooo sore you cant sit up or atleast i couldn't. Its not really a major procedure. my doc said it wouldnt take no longer than an hour but it took 3 hrs.! when you wake up u may be nauseaus but the nurse gave me those little alcohol pads. she told me to sniff them. i did and it was gone! it was weird. Just a suggestion if u start feeling nauseaus.
Before you make ANY plans to have your gall bladder removed, read this: http://www.curezone.com/cleanse/liver/.
I've done this cleanse 3 times now, and each time I feel better. You can fairly easily pass the stones from your gall bladder, making the removal of the organ unnecessary, saving you the pain, expense and complications from cutting an organ out of your system. There are many testimonials on the site from people it has worked for, and I recommend that you check it out too!
