My grandmother came to Malaysia on Friday .but starting from Sunday her feet started to swell. What is wrong?

Question:
she was in the flight for eight hour.next day we went to super market and she was siting on a weelchair for five hours.on the same night she ate garlic capsuls.6 for two nights each night 3 capsuls.and mostly during the day she intends to sit on a chair.she eats alot of oily food and she is 63 years old .she is quite fat .what is wrong?

Answers:
she must have water retention and when one travels for a long time, either driving or flying her feet and legs are in a downward position and this is normal. ask her if she has water pills, if so she should take them as directed. and keep her legs and feet propped up until swelling goes down, if they do not go down in 2 days she should go to the doctors and be checked out
first thing to rule out is a heart or kidney problem...there may be no signs of a heart attack...
