Can someone reccomend a quality stethascope for a nursing student?

Question:

Answers:
There are the cheap ones, but they really do a pretty lousy job, because the diaphragm makes a lot of noise with rubbing over the skin or clothes, which to the untrained ear will only bring confusion about what is a normal or abnormal sound.

I definitely recommend buying a Littman, buy the "Classic II", you won't need more. It's cheap and of the highest quality! Then try listening with one of the cheap ones and you'll notice the difference.

I am an internist, that's the one I use and even if you use the fanciest types of Littman stethoscopes you won't barely notice any difference with the Classic II. Ah, and it'll last for years.

if you were as broke as i was in school then the cheapest one you can find. maybe one from a nurse on a different floor than you work on w/o her knowing.
littman
I have a littman that I bought for $30 when I graduated from nursing school...it's the favorite toy of all the kids I work with (in other words, it gets beaten up quite a bit!)...and still works perfectly!
littman cardiac 3, you can hearwith it alot better than the old littman
