Blood test?

Question: Why cant you have one blood sample taken and then have it tested for everything possible ?

Answers:
i dislike it when people answer medical questions with no prior knowledge. if you ever pay attention when your blood is drawn, there are many different color tubes. each color tube has a special additive(be it liquid or powder) that has to mix with the blood to be able to do that particular test. say if the doctor orders a complete blood count, that has to be done with a lavender top tube. say you wanted an hiv test done, that has to be done with a red top tube. do you get what i'm saying?
