Can dwp overpayment be recovered by reducing disability living allowance?
Question:
Answers:
No your allowance is untouchable even by the tax man
fraid soo if you've been overpaid they will take it back some how and if thats what u r getting they will reduce it to get there money back
up until the late 1990's over payments did not have to be repayed
unfortunatly the onus is now on you its a form of fraud
sorry
ie the recipt of monies known to be not due
=fraud
sorry
ex dhss collections
if you mean reducing the rate ie low.med, high, after being awarded to you then NO,unless proved to a court that the claim was made frauduently in the first place,if you mean you are awarded one of the three DLA rates and overpayment per week was paid to you, and has been recognised as a mistake then YES,even if it wasnt your fault.they will recover it by means of weekly installments, because the gov(uk)says that you have to have a certain amount of money per week to live on.but your rate of DLA will remain unchanged ie:low rate ,high rate.rate meaning the level of yur disablement.NOT rate of money.
yeah it can, it even says when you apply for it.
