Why do we breathe, only from one nosetril?

Question:
Why do we breathe only from one nosestril, either from right or from left?

Answers:
If mother nature gave us two nostrils is to use them. Of course, there are many causes to breath with only one or not even.
From far the more frequent is having a cold or being allergic. Some people who had a bad knock in the nose - even when cannot be remember anymore- may have a deviation of the wall that divides the two cavities that end up in the nostrils. The result, one hole will be able to suck and expel air, the other one will remain there only to decoration unless a surgery would be done. But do not worry, is nothing serious in 99 percent of the cases.

Other Answers:
I breathe with 2 nostrils.

we don't. go to a doctor. Um. I breathe from both. It all comes out of one area anyways and that's from your esophagus. Clean out your nose! It might be clogged or something. I dunno.

There several potential reasons. You might have a nasal polyp that needs to be removed. A doctor will have to look up your nose and tell you this. You might also have a deviated septum (middle part of nose) that obstructs one part of your nose or you might just have allergies. The treatment for all these is different and your doctor will tell you if you need surgery.

Most people use both nostrils, unless you have perhaps burned the other nostril out snorting Coke.
