Anyone take Lexapro for anxiety. How did it work for you?

Question:
Also what was your experience mixing this with Vicodin

Answers:
don't mix.........my god what are they doing to you.lexipro is one of the safest panic attack/anti depressents out there what else do you really need?
I took it for 3 years to treat anxiety disorder. I had a very good experience. no side effects, corrected my brain chemistry, etc.

If you are taking vicodin, I'm wondering if you have other issues. Is the vicodin legitimately prescribed for severe pain, or are you using it to be 'calm'?

You can use both, if your vicodin use is legit. lexapro is an SSRI and has nothing to do with sedating you or anything.

If you take Lexapro, you should notice an improvement in 2-3 weeks, and feel much better in 4-5 weeks.
I've taken Lexapro for a year now, and I take vicodin kinda frequently but not by prescription... It hasn't "bothered" me but my advise to you is to just stick with the Lexapro. The only thing I've noticed about mixing the two is that the Lexapro works 10x better without pain pills. Pain pills are cool but they mess with your head too much and they kind of defeat the purpose of taking Lexapro-- to get your chemicals balanced and get your head straight... It's better to just be on the Lexapro by itself. I wouldn't blame ya if you stayed on the vicodin though, I probably would-- but do as I say, not as I do!! Good luck kid!! :)

Lexapro works for me and I've seen/felt no contraindications from the Vicodin I take.
