I am always late! Does anyone else have this problem?

Question:
I seem to have no concept of time. I've tried tons of "tricks". They work for a while. Is there any medical reason?

Answers:
This is from the website I listed, There's other tips and advice on
it.

"If you're always late by a different amount of time -- five minutes sometimes, 15, or even 40 minutes other times -- it is likely that the cause is technical," Morgenstern tells WebMD. "That means you are not good at estimating how long things take," whether it's drive times or routine activities like taking a shower.

Keating says she falls into this category. "It's a case of bad planning, of thinking you need less time than you actually do."

The solution, Morgenstern says, is to "become a better time estimator." She suggests keeping track of everything you do for a week or two. "Write down how long you think each thing will take and then how long it actually took." This will help you find a pattern, so you can adjust your time estimates.

If you late every month for the same count of days that's ok like if you 1 to 3 days no worries there.

Set all your clocks and watches back 15 minutes.late for what? Everything? Subconsciously you dont want to be on time. There could be many reasons for it. Some people just love to make an 'entrance' and be noticed. Other's arrive late to show disrespect. You need to find your own answer, then fix it if it bothers you.

HAHAHAH!! I'm always early and my fiancee is always late! There is nothing you can do about it unless you can get a friend to lie to you about a meeting time, that way when you think your 15 minutes late, you are actually 15 minutes early!

Set your alarm 10 to 15 minutes early. That way you trick yourself into not knowing what time it actually is. Having to take the time to figure out the time will throw you off and you will automatically be early for everything you go to, because if you clocks say its 1:00 it really 12:45, after a while you get either get tired of figuring out what time it is or just think its really that time.

Try leaving a little earlier. leave earlier when u go someplace n think of some thing u could do when u get there before your appointment time.think of all the things u miss being late.go see a hypnotist to help u.

I set my clock ahead, but still know what time it is so it doesn't really help, don't know why I bother. I'm always late, too. Wish I could help.

Not necessarily a medical condition. Depending on if you have always been late. When your body is conditioned to go to bed late and wake up late, or go to bed early and still get up late, then chances are you are going to be late. Do you go to bed late thinking that you are going to be on time even if you don't set your alarm clock? i have that problem. Im still working on it. But i do have a suggestion. I have my clocks set for 15 minutes ahead of time. I KNOW for a fact that i LOVE to sleep, but i have too much stuff to do in the morning: i have to get my daughter dressed and i have to get dressed, stuff ready for school and im not always prepared. Mind you im doin all this by myself, and it is overwhelming.
Try to forget you know that you have an extra 15 minutes to kill. Get your clothes ready for the next day the night before. Get all your papers and stuff the night before, then all you have to do is get dressed in the morning and walk out. If it helps, get some caffine! Or set your alarm clock way across the room so that way you get up out of your warm and cozy bed across the room to shut the clock up! Then you dont go back to bed! I do that, i turn it off and go back to sleep, but you dont want to risk losing a good job behind being late. Ya smell me?
Best Wishes.
