How many times can a brain be operated on?
Question:
Answers:
Depends on the nature of the problem that is requiring surgery and how invasive that surgery is. Also on which particular area of the brain is to be operated on as this could leave a neurological deficit for example a weakness in limbs, this risk is obviously increased if repeated amounts of surgery are required. This is of course all the consultant neurosurgeons decision and they will advise to the right course of treatment be it surgical intervention or not.
