What has the government finally decided about smoking?

Question:
is it now a total ban? and has a precise date been set?

Answers:
England will be the next country to embrace a smoking ban in public places, pubs restaurants, cinemas, theatres, workplace, shops etc. The no smoking ban was introduced into Eire almost 2 years ago, Scotland this year and the world has not come to an end. Just a little readjustment and no riots, no pubs gone out of business as far as I can see.
Even as a smoker, I was impressed on how different the pub in which I drink in, was after the ban.
Watch this space, it isn't all bad!
As long as the tobacco lobby is one of the storngest everything just stays the same with the typical lip service to appease the sheep that americans are.
i think its just to ban it in public places like bars restaurants bus stations etc!
When it comes into effect next year, i am going to buy myself a night club were only smokers are allowed..this is victimisation against the smokers
It will never be a total ban as the tobacco lobby is too strong and they could not afford to do without the tax from this area.
Most people have now given up and feel better and richer for it so why worry.
nothing yet as usual they are only there for the money they make more from the taxes on tobacco then they spend sorting the ilnesses out so a net gain for them if smoking was so bad why not ban it problem solved
