Are there tests to check for muscle damage? MRI? X-ray?

Question:
I have sharp pain in my back, under my right shoulder blade, for almost 2 years now, on and off. I've been told it's muscle inflammation, but nothing has seemed to work. I really want to find out exactly what's going on, and how to fix it. I've been going to a chiropractor for a few weeks now, and it started to feel a little better, but it's hurting again. Acupuncture might be my next option.

Answers:
inflammation of a muscle in that area is usually due to really poor posture. Probably why a chiropractor could help a little, but if you don't change your posture, there isn't a whole lot anyone can do long term. You might see a sports medicine physical therapist for ideas on improving your posture.
i have done my shoulder to on the top the pain goes up my neck. and around to my back . i did mine about 4 years ago and it is still killing me.
