Cartilage peircings?
Question:
Answers:
Cartilage piercings can be very tricky. At best they can get infected, and at worst they can cause the cartilage to collapse.
I've had my cartilage pierced a few times, in different spots. I have always gotten those bumps. What you need to do is clean the entire area, including the bump, with antibacterial soap and water. Then have somebody sterilize a thin needle in alcohol and pierce the bump. Then clean the area again. Clean the area every day, and the bump should disappear.
It happens almost always when a gun is used. my question is was it done by a professional?
I was told that that will occassionally happen when done professionally, but that it is rather rare.
Go to the doctor. You might be developing a keloid, a thick mass of scar tissue.
i had the same thing done to me and the exact same thing happened. go to any store where they pierce ears and ask for a bottle of piercing cleanser. claires or piercing pagoda? they ought to have something. apply this with a cotton ball each night and it should go away. email me at : mymailrocks_am@yahoo.com--tell me if this works out for you
Soak it in warm salt water.
