I knwo its expensive but Im the biggest tempurpedic fan! I got into a car accident and have had horrible back problems and I have minor scoliosis which doesnt help. My spring mattress was killing me so I got the deluxe queen tempurpedic. Its AMAZING. I rarely have to go to the chiropractor anymore and wake up pain free. They make a mattress topper but the problem with all mattress toppers if that they are only a few inches thick and once you lay on them all your body weight makes it feel like nothing is under you.you can finance the tempurpedic and i highly reccomend it

When my mother complained of skeletal pain,her Arthritis Dr recommended that she try something made with Memory Foam.
It confirms to your body but when you get off of the bed,the foam returns to it's original shape.
If your husband spends alot of time in the bed,this Memory Foam is good preventative for bedsores.
I have a memory foam pad AND a down featherbed topper.
If you get a down featherbed, get one of the ones that has the liner on top that helps so you don't get poked by the quills.
Either one would be good on its own, but it is really nice with both.
