My ear really hurts what u think?

Question:

my right ear really throbs and hurts all i can hear is like a heart beat in my ear,i can bearly hear anything in my ear the other one is fine any suggestions?

could be a tooth like an wisdom tooth coming in

may be nothing may just be stress but not having it checked could lead to permanent hearing loss in that ear

Sounds like an ear infection , you should be going to the doctor to find out for sure tho.

Have you gone to the doctor if not go i don't know what it could be it can be number of things.

Go to the docs, it sounds like you have got a bad ear infection. It will need antibiotics to clear it up.

You have an ear infection; see your doctor immediately; in the mean time take Motrin or alleve 3 pills every 6 hours. Not treating an ear infection may lead to much worse so see your MD now. If you cant get in to see him within the next two days go straight to the ER. Hope you feel better.

hey I had the same thing and my family dr. kept tellling me there was nothing wrong with me. I had so much presure and pain in my ear that I would wake up at night screaming in pain. It felt like a knife was being stabbed in and out of my ear. The same thing would happnen at all times.

Finally I got a refereal to an ear nose and throat doctor. They tried sterioid drops, did not work, then they put tubes in my ears. Those only popped both my ear drums and became infected. The pain was still there. It was so bad at times I wanted to kill myself.

More tests showed, that the bones in my face were deteriating from numerous untreated sinus infections. And the bones deteraiting was causing the ear aches...

So surgery needed to repair the bones and remove all the sinus build up.

Don't mess around with ear infections.you could end up with hearing loss and also it can mess up your balance. I have ringing noises that started with an ear infection. I suspect it could have been cause by the Rx I was taking but the doctor says no. Anyway I can hear ok now and the infection cleared up but the ringing is still there and it's no fun.
