i used it get cramps all the time when i swim really hard.espically during gym class.my legs cramped up so bad.there is no words to describe the pain i felt.but it's just your muscles tightening up.

Swimming is a big workout that works out all of your body. You need to stretch more before you swim. I work out all the time and I used to wake up in the middle of the night with really bad leg cramps. I started stretching and now I don't cramp anymore. Eat banana's..It's true! You need potassium~ Even football players are told to eat banana's for muscle cramps during practice~

There are a few things that you should do before you do any exercise to prevent cramps. First is stretch, stretch out all of your body, as you will be working different muscles than you are used to. Second is make sure you are not drinking anything carbonated, as the sodium can cause cramps. No food beforehand either. Last is drink plenty of water, water will help you before and especially afterwards when your body needs to rehydrate.

Talk to a doctor.
