Answers:
I have claustophobia when I'm stuck in traffic, and I'm in the car by myself. My philosophy teacher has been helping me out with my issue and it's helping a lot. I'd be happy to share you my experiences and methods I've been taking.

You get shortness of breath? Tingle sensations throughout your body? Dizziness feeling like your gonna pass out?

Let me reassure you that, you'll be alright. You know your not going to die. So when your anxiety kicks in, tell yourself that you'll be fine. Talk to yourself and convince yourself that your claustophobia will not hurt you.

Also, have things to distract yourself from having fearful thoughts like counting from 1000 and backward only counting by 3's. What I do is that I always have a rubber band on my wrist, and when i'm anxiety builds up, I snap the rubber band onto my wrist so I feel a slight pain from my wrist. Then my mind focuses on the pain on my wrist rather than thinking that i'm having an anixety attack.

In addition, try mediation so you can relax your mind and body.

Your body is going through this because your mind is getting fed with worried signals. The mind is a powerful thing, and you can control your body through your thoughts. The mind can heal the body.

Time to see a therapist. Chances are this is just a harmless issue, but why chance it. Nothing wrong with seeing someone in the hopes they may help you!

Good luck!
