I don't think it remains in there for very long, but the damage it leaves beind is permanent. I was a psych and sociology major in college and I saw a picture of a frontal lobe that belonged to an Ecstasy user and it was practically gone, the drug had destroyed it almost to the point where the person was permanently stupid.

IIRC, generally between 3-5 days detectable in a urine test. Not sure with other forms of testing.

it affects everyone differently, I used ecstasy weekly for two years, and I lost no brain function whatsoever, not sure how long the drug actually lasts in your system though.
