I used to take this, I was taking 200 mg per day. I think it helped for several months. I did get the one side effect of my arms and legs tingling all the time, and it was especially frustrating when I was trying to go to sleep

If I remeber correctly topamax may be a vasoconstrictor.
My personnal opinion after researching:
vasoconstrictors can be dangerous..my migraine, was due to an underlying condition..
So be sure to get really checked out for any underlying condition, for example hypertension.

I just started taking it 5 days ago, 25 mg at night. So far, no headaches. First day felt like I was having an out of body experience.but that passed and has not reoccurred. Some tingling in arms and head (like a head rush!).but that's passed too. I'm supposed to go up 50 mg a night next week.kind of dreading that. One definite downer for me - my diet coke tastes funny now. As long as it continues to work I'll stay with it. What does worry me is what if over time it's effectiveness wears off? Lady down the hall at work takes 50 mg in the morning and 50 mg at night and STILL gets headaches.
