Chest pain?

Question:
Before I ask this question, I do have an appointment to get into "urgent care" ( you have to make appts. for my insurance to use urgent care since there is no hospital near) tomorrow.

I've been having chest pain all day. It doesn't hurt when I'm just sitting still or standing, but when I bend down or turn my upper body it hurts. It's a sharp pain. I've taken tums thinking it might be hurtburn, but they haven't helped. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea what it could be and how I can relieve it until I get to the Dr tomorrow??

Answers:
Since you've never experienced this before, the best thing for you to do is relax and do nothing until you can see a doctor. If it is your heart, exertion is the last thing you want to do. I hope for the best for you.
its something wrong with your heart thats what it sounds like to me.
Depending on how old you are, it could just be growing pains. Seeing how you are talking about Insurance though, you probably older. Not sure what is causing your pain, but every time you get the sharp shooting pain take a large deep breath and that might get rid of the pain. God Bless!
It sounds like it may be your lung or it could be gas. Try eating a little baking soda. Hope you feel better and that it is not a heart problem. You'll be just fine!
yeah, it's not a heart attack. Could be gas which does act funny some time -- possibly an inflamed muscle. Try a couple of aspirin and if they work it's the muscle. Try some amtigas plls and if they help well---.Wow you sure do have a crappy urgent care situation.
If you condition persists after following the advice of the nurse you spoke to, when you go into urgent care ask to have your chart looked at by a diagnostician. Nurses and even doctors can be wrong sometimes, and so the more scenarios they run on you the more accurate their trial and error process of elimination will be. good luck.
