Swollen Eye?

Question: my right eye is swollen to where i cant even open it. My eyelid is light purple/pink. This has happened 2 times before and it takes almost a week for the swelling to go away completely. Any ideas what is wrong??

Do you remember being stung by something or punched? It sounds like it could be the result of an allergic reaction to a bug bite OR an injury. Ice will help the swelling. You could take a Benadryl tablet to see if it is an allergic reaction. That will take the swelling down if it is - and it's relatively harmless. If this happens often, I would talk to your doctor about it.
