Who offers assistance for children who need medical equipment?

Question: I work with a lady whose 8-year-old granddaughter has arthrogryposis, a congenital joint and connective tissue disorder. The girl's mother is having a tough time right now with finances. The family has military benefits, but I'm not sure to what extent.

The mother just paid for new braces for her daughter's legs and a new walker, but she needs a new wheelchair due to a bad wheel.

I wanted to try and see what resources may exist for this family.
