My left shoulder joint is in pain and I have trouble lifting my arm. What could this be?
Question:
Answers:
When my son was little I carried him around all the time. I was diagnosed with bursitis.
It hurt near the shoulder joint and I could not lift my arm past a certain point or at a certain angle.
The doctor put me on anti-inflamitories and prescribed physical therapy on it.
I hope this helps.
Other Answers:
Rotator cuff or other injury to the shoulder joint, strain or sprain, only a doc can really tell you.
Torn rotator cuff.
arthritis. talk to your doctor immediatly!!
Hang on, let me check your x-rays and blood test results..
Well, you obviously..need to consult a real doctor, cause I'm not one!
By the way, I'm also suffering from left shoulder pains. For me it's an impingement, diagnosed by a licenced professional.
I'm just saying.could be any number of things. See a doctor!
possibly tendonitis or a pulled muscle. if it doesn't get better in a week or see see your dr.
a pulled ligament among a hundred other things. If it continues after you ice it, see a doctor.
It could be U pulled a muscle. Were you doing something strenuous when this happened? Also always remember woman have different signs of having a heart attack then men do. Shoulder pain is one of them. I am not saying this to scare you, but maybe you need to see a doctor ..Best of Luck ;-)
IT COULD BE A TORN TENDON, A ROTAR CUFF PROBLEM, BUILD UP OF CALCIUM DEPOSITS, ARITHITIS, AND IS PAINFUL OF COURSE. GO TO AN ORTHEPIDIC DOC!!
You're asking for a diagnosis and only a licensed physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant who has exmained you in person can give you one. None of the well-intentioned people here can diagnose you.
If you've injured your shoulder or if this is a sudden development, please see a health care provider for evaluation.
It could be a lot of things. U really need to go see a dr. I am a Massage Therapist student, about to graduate, and it really could be a lot of things.
When did the pain start? what were u doing? were u lifting anything? Is there a repetitive movement u do constantly? Do U work out and lift heavy weights? It could be a contracted muscle! It could be a torn ligament, or many other things I mean, there are a lot of ?'s that need to be asked here.
Best advice see a dr!
You could have slept on it wrong. A message therapist told me to soak in Epsom's salt when I was in pain. This removes pain from muscles and joints temporarily. I did it before I went to bed at night so i could get some sleep. During the day, rotate hot pack for 30 minutes, no pack for 30 minutes, cold pack for 30 minutes. Heat relaxes muscle tension, cold shrinks swollen muscles. This could help the pain in your joints.
you should have this checked if its not some type of injury you had it could be a sign of heart disease, get it checked.
could be a frozen shoulder..try yoga
Maybe rotator cuff injury or bursitis. Get professional help
Rotator Cuff. It's when your tendons hold your muscles together so that it can move your arm has torn or worse completely disconnected..This is a injury that happens in most baseball players and in my case My Mom is an Oncologist (Physical Therapist) who lifts and pulls heavy patients..She is almost recovered after almost 2 mos. since the surgery but is still unable to lift her arm completely without help..You should see a doctor asap before it gets worse and your arm cannot move at all..
