Help! Any remedies for a stiff neck?

Question:
I have a stiff neck:( It happened yeterday afternoon while I was napping. My sister took off the pillow from me:( Anyway, what are the remedies for a stiff neck? I'm having guitar lessons so having a stiff neck will be a problem:(

Answers:
ice it for 24 hours(not straight) to help relieve any swelling, then moist heat to soften and losen up the muscle. after heating gentle massage of the area. you can do mild stretches to the side or forward, which ever way will produce a stretch of the area.
you do not want to stretch to the point of pain though, just small movements just to the point of before pain. do the stretches several times a day after moist heat and massage if someone is nice enough to give you one.

Other Answers:
a massage

Apply a heating pad, hot water bottle. and stretch it out. rub it till its not stiff anymore

I used to have this all the time, my Chiropractor told me to use ice, not heat.
