Why menses (with beginning word "men") relate to women and hernia (with beginn "her") relates to men?
Question:
Answers:
Menses comes from the Latin menses, which means "months" -- it's the monthly bleeding of women. It is unrelated to "man".
Hernia comes from the Latin word of the same spelling, meaning "rupture"; it's related to the Latin hira which means "intestine". It's related to the word "yarn", oddly; I imagne that's related through sinews and the idea of string of some sort. It's unrelated to "her". Actually, I don't see the relation to men you imply, either.

Haha! The origins of these words of course have nothing to do with the words "men" or "her." Menses comes from the Latin word "mensis" (month). Hernia also comes from Latin.
BTW, women get hernias too!!
