Mosquito bites only appearing on feet and ankles?

Question:
I've been getting mosquito bites all over my feet and ankles. They appear on the rest of my body, but not in the same qualities. I don't go outside much, and even when I put bug spray on, they continue to appear. Why are they only amassing on my feet and ankles and nowhere else?

Answers:
Mosquitoes are drawn to floral scents, using non perfumed soaps can help. Also shoes and socks combined with full length pants can help prevent some biting.

If you use a DEET containing repellent and reapply regularly there should be no problem. Keep in mind there are a number of other biting insects that stay closer to the ground. These other insects may be responsible for the extraneous bites you mention.

Other Answers:
Please don't think I am being rude, but they are drawn to smell...any type of smell but I don't think they like citrus and lavender aromas ....so spray with some lemon juice... it's worth a try!
i don't think it's mosquitos. i think it's fleas. fleas don't fly and they don;t jump very high. that is why you have them on your feet and ankles... there may be some elsewhere... maybe from lying on your carpet or something like that. mosquitos bites usually happen on your extremeties like your arms and legs and face (anywhere that is not covered by clothing)

do you have pets? do they have fleas? do they scratch?
